Quality begins in manufacturing: Capacitive‑ceramic pressure sensors made in the cleanroom

The Ceracore USC30 capacitive-ceramic pressure sensor is manufactured in a clean room. Controlled processes and high-quality materials ensure stable measurement accuracy.

Production in a cleanroom in accordance with DIN 100 minimizes particle-related influences during production. Since capacitive-ceramic pressure sensors have sensitive measuring structures, even the slightest impurities can impair the functionality, measurement accuracy or long-term stability of the sensor. Cleanroom production is therefore an essential part of quality assurance. All work steps are standardised, clearly documented and fully traceable. In addition, each sensor is tested on the basis of defined test characteristics in order to detect potential deviations at an early stage and correct them in a targeted manner.

In addition to the manufacturing processes, the choice of materials also makes a significant contribution to the performance of the Ceracore USC30. The ceramic membrane made of 99.9% aluminium oxide is characterised by high mechanical strength and pronounced chemical resistance.

The controlled production conditions and the high quality of the materials lead to:

  • High measurement accuracy for stable processes
  • Reproducible measurement results
  • Resistance to aggressive media
  • Long service life even under demanding operating conditions

In addition, the capacitive ceramic pressure sensors from Endress+Hauser Sensors & Components undergo individual compensation in terms of pressure and temperature. A final test of each individual sensor concludes the manufacturing process.

Endress+Hauser Sensors & Components offers customized pressure and level sensors. With many years of experience in a wide variety of applications, innovative technologies and close cooperation with our customers, precise sensor solutions are developed that are precisely tailored to customer-specific requirements.
